FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ASHLAND TOWN CENTER ANNOUNCES NEW FUNDRAISING PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

Free program yields 100% proceeds for non-profit groups

ASHLAND, KY (April 11, 2007) – Ashland Town Center has announced the launch of a new program to help area non-profit, community, school and civic organizations in their fundraising efforts.

The new program, “License to Shop,” features a card and brochure that provide one-time discounts at twenty-six participating mall retailers and restaurants. Non-profit groups can sell the card/brochure sets for $5 each, and are able to keep 100% of the proceeds.

“License to Shop will serve as Ashland Town Center’s year-round effort to help local charities and non-profit organizations raise money throughout the community,” said Jaime Bloss, Marketing Director for Ashland Town Center.

The new program complements the seasonal fund-raising programs already offered by the mall that will remain in place, including Tools for Your School in early fall and Magical Night of Giving, the mall´s highly successful annual kickoff to the holiday season.

Bloss added that the mall staff is particularly excited about the benefits that surround the program. “Customers help their favorite organizations and see their $5 investment pay for itself through the incredible values very quickly. The non-profit groups benefit because, unlike traditional candy bar, wrapping paper and other fundraising efforts, today’s consumers are more receptive to making donations for which they see immediate and ongoing returns. And, rather than keeping just a portion of the sales, the non-profit organizations keep 100% of the proceeds. New retailers benefit, too, because we’ve included an on-line component to the program in which they can participate, even if they open their doors later in the year. So the program is always current. Ordinary coupon book programs cannot accommodate that.”

This year’s License to Shop offers are good through December 31, 2007. Organizations interested in learning more about how they can get involved with License to Shop are asked to call Ashland Town Center at 606.325.9570 or stop by the mall management office for details.
